Northport Photo Exhibit Opening Reception
The Northport Arts Association proudly invites the Leelanau community to celebrate its annual photography exhibit. Kicking off Memorial Day weekend, the opening reception is free to the public and will include light appetizers and a cash bar. The exhibit will remain on display through June 8, with gallery hours from Tuesday to Sunday, 12 PM to 4 PM.
The exhibit showcases the talents of photographers from Michigan and beyond, celebrating both professional and emerging artists. Each photographer has the opportunity to display up to five images, totaling approximately 150 framed photos showcased throughout the gallery. In addition, individual art bins will feature unframed works.
Visitors can expect a stunning array of subjects, including breathtaking landscapes and waterscapes, unique nature photography, and innovative modern images. The artworks include pieces created using film cameras, digital cameras, and mobile devices, all demonstrating a high level of technique and creativity.
Guests are encouraged to participate in the People’s Choice Award by voting for their favorite photograph by visiting the exhibit from May 23 to May 30. Voting slips will be provided, and the winner will be announced in the June 1 edition of NAA Weekly News.
