The Leadership Team (LT) is a diverse, community-based group of citizens that was established in 2011 as part of Phase I of Designing and Achieving Our Potential, a project plan of action that supported the quality of life and economic well-being of the community. The primary role of the LT was and is today, to guide the scope of work outlined in the project and subsequent projects including the Community Conversation: The Importance of Events; to recruit participation, and to be a conduit for implementation, but not decision makers. The LT meets the first Wednesday of each month. The meetings are open to all community members with an interest in these projects.

Monthly meeting of Village Council to conduct Village business.

An art exhibit featuring the drawings from the free Figure Drawing Studio session. The artists meet Mondays 6:30-8:30 and draw the figure. Local people model, doing several 5 minute poses, then 2-3 20 minute poses.

Entry is free. Cash bar.

Leelanau Energy is a nonprofit that educates and advocates for energy efficiency and renewable energy. Our general meetings are scheduled on the 2nd Thursday of every other month. Meetings begin with a brief sharing of pertinent news and information, then transition to an educational program. Two days each year Lions Club members volunteer to make it easy for individuals to slip their dollars and coin donations into the convenient slots cut into White Canes. Funds raised on White Cane Days are directed to helping with Leader Dog training and placements to help visually impaired individuals needing assistance from Leader Dogs.

Lions Clubs have been raising funds to help individuals with visual difficulties since being challenged by Helen Keller to take up the cause of helping the blind with their needs. Today Lions International also provide glasses and eye exams in locations around the world.

Leelanau Energy is a nonprofit that educates and advocates for energy efficiency and renewable energy. Our general meetings are scheduled on the 2nd Thursday of every other month. Meetings begin with a brief sharing of pertinent news and information, then transition to an educational program. We strive to offer a good experience for Zoom attendees, but strongly suggest live attendance if at all possible. Please join us!

For one day people far and wide come to the quaint village of Northport to enjoy music, dance, and art of every genre spotlighting the talents of our region, and to bring together people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate that. The Leadership Team (LT) is a diverse, community-based group of citizens that was established in 2011 as part of Phase I of Designing and Achieving Our Potential, a project plan of action that supported the quality of life and economic well-being of the community. The primary role of the LT was and is today, to guide the scope of work outlined in the project and subsequent projects including the Community Conversation: The Importance of Events; to recruit participation, and to be a conduit for implementation, but not decision makers. The LT meets the first Wednesday of each month. The meetings are open to all community members with an interest in these projects.

This is a support group for individuals who have or have had a cancer diagnosis. It provides an opportunity to share experiences, learn, receive and give support to others. Please call Terry at 231-645-2120 for information.

Meeting may include reports from Fire & Emergency Service, Sheriff's Deputy, Township Librarian, Planning & Zoning, Parks & Recreation, elected Township Officers and the County Commissioner. Time is allowed at the beginning and conclusion of the meeting for public comments.
